Photographs taken in Prague from 7:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. on August 21, 1968, the day the city was occupied by Soviet, Bulgarian, Polish, Hungarian, and East German forces.
The writings that immediately appeared around the city always repeated the same question: why?
Why didn't the newspapers write the only news that could be spread on August 21: “The Soviet Union with four other Warsaw Pact states invaded Czechoslovakia confident of almost unanimous dissent and the support of all nations.”
From the introduction of the book.
