In Pétalas, the author puts into friction the ambiguity between attraction and repudiation and brings to light all the brutality camouflaged in objects that can pass for attractive to the eyes of the distracted reader. Mixing images of projectiles, deflated bullets and texts that refer to a glossary of violence and the arms industry/culture, the work suggests a reflection on the fetishism surrounding firearms. 67 images were extracted from the Internet through a search tool. The words used as search keys and other recurring terms were inserted in the book, forming a kind of vocabulary of the warlike world and the violence caused by the use of such artifacts. When leafing through the book, the traces of strong political and social criticism add layers of complexity and meaning to the publication.
