In Lisbon, Fausto Giaccone photographed the days of revolution and the process of politicization, with people scanning the wall newspapers among a multitude of posters. In a country that had had censorship and political police, now even the walls spoke, through writings, scythes, hammers, stars, and the sun shone for all of us, socialism, the PCP, in the strength of the tide the strength of the people. As history accelerated, the city walls, painted and with posters pasted in successive layers, looked like palimpsests of the revolution.
In August 1975, Giaccone followed the land occupations in Couço at the dawn of the agrarian reform process, participating with many enthusiastic people to occupy the farms and to see the owners' houses.
