This book was the catalog of the exhibition commemorating the 60th anniversary of the founding of the PCP, entitled 60 Years of Struggle in the Service of the People and the Fatherland, and constituted a remarkable political, historical, cultural and artistic event.
Obviously, it was not possible to include all the documentation presented in the exhibition, and although it is not complete and does not constitute a definitive picture of the popular struggle and history of the PCP, it represents a valuable contribution to the knowledge of this very rich period in Portuguese history.
It is a document that defines that historical, post-revolutionary period in the service of the people and the homeland, and which is accessible to all for the first time.
