This photographic documentation of the largest peace event in Europe, a manifestation against nuclear weapons, was created from contributions made by the Amsterdam Photography Collective. The turnout at the event exceeded all expectations. Even the "Museumplein" ( The Museum place) could not contain the crowds of protesters. For the hundreds of thousands of men, women and children from home and abroad, suffering from the healthy 'hollanditis' (a word created to define the rejection of nuclear power), 21 November became an unforgettable day of warm mass protest. For the protesters who stood shoulder to shoulder and therefore only had a limited impression of the peace event, but also for those who could not come to Amsterdam, this photo book is dedicated to them. A document of lasting value for now and for the future.
