This book brings together much of Liliana Barchiesi's work from her early works in the 1970s to the 2000s where her journalistic activities prevailed, continuing her commitment to women's rights in collaboration with women's associations and expressing herself through photography and documentary filmmaking.
"Today there are new and different problems but gender inequality persists, and has its most obvious and dramatic representation in feminicide. most obvious and dramatic representation in feminicide. Hard-won civil rights hard-won civil rights are all too often ignored and challenged: free choice maternity means not having to choose between a career and motherhood, denying the equality equality at work, which is still denied in practice.Free choice to express oneself in the forms that each individual feels they are and represent, while respecting the freedom of others, is a goal to be achieved. The work of reflection and feminist practice had led us to understand that sexual repression was the focal point, the central knot to relegate us to a subalternity and anchor it to roles in the blackmail of motherhood and love. Subalternity and anchor it to roles in the blackmail of motherhood and love. Today a feminism, formed by young people who are confronted with history and previous and previous experiences bodes well, but there is no doubt that the path is impervious and all to be built. The project for this book was born out of the need not so much to
tell my story as a photographer, but from the need to share memories and emotions in the and emotions, in the hope of collaborating in that better world that we have worked for so passionately worked towards, and will continue to work towards."
