On 15 may 1969 a student from Corrientes was mortally wounded by the police. The student protest, generated in a circumstantial conflict, rose to unexpected heights. Corrientes was the spark that set the prairie on fire. In all the cities of the country the commotion embraced the students and the working class. The repression, far from attenuating the conflict, intensified the escalation, the climax of which was registered in the events of Cordoba. The fall of the cabinet and a general rethinking of the situation has plunged Argentines into intense reflection. This book is the chronicle of these events, which offer a glimpse of the prospects for new forms of political expression and the birth of a new consciousness and a new opposition in Argentina.
